In Loving Memory of Sadie

Sadie’s Story
Although we rescued Sadie from a shelter, she had a past that we were, through a miracle, able to learn about. To learn about her story once we rescued her, please read our story.
In her adoption paperwork, was information regarding her previous owner, and had a phone number of her friend, "C".
I decided to call "C" one day in August, and to my surprise, she picked up.
Here's what she shared with me-
Sadie was found, along with her parents, and the rest of her litter, in an abandoned trap/drug house.
Sadie's sister was kept by "C", and several other close friends and family members kept other members of the litter.
Sadie has living family members from a different litter, but to my knowledge, her parents, and all siblings from her litter have since passed.
Sadie was born in November of 2014, which would have made her 9, almost 10, at the time of her passing, and she would have been 3 when we rescued her, instead of the estimated 2 that the rescue had told us.
Below are photos I was able to obtain of Sadie and her family.
Sadie's Family
(IN ORDER-PHOTO DESCRIPTIONS SEPARATED BY COMMAS. PHOTOS ARE DISPLAYED AND DESCRIBED FROM LEFT TO RIGHT, AND THEN DOWN A ROW, AND LEFT TO RIGHT AGAIN, REPEATING, FOR DESKTOP, AND FROM TOP TO BOTTOM ON MOBILE)
Sadie when she was first found (a few days old) in November 2014, Sadie's sister, Sadie's mom, Sadie's brother, Sadie's dad, Sadie's mom and brother.
We are SO thankful to have these images and are forever grateful to "C" for tracking down and sending these photos to us.

Words from the heart- Grief Poems
Today You Were
Today you were the gentle sunrise at six am
And the warm glow from the July sun
Yesterday you were the fire burning on the hillside
And the amber sunset amongst the clouds
Tomorrow you will be every peak
And every pit
Of my day
And you will remain in every moment
Until my last breath

Live in Sadie's memory
Below you will find links to Sadie's favorite toys, and various other things she would have loved. We are not endorsed by or affiliated with any of the products below, they are simply listed as reference, and we make no commission if you purchase through the links below.
Spiky Ball Toy- One of Sadie's FAVORITE toys, these were her go-to toys to grab for play time.
Snake Toy- Another one of her favorites, one of her first toys we got her, that she had for years. One of the few toys that took several weeks to turn into a toy carcass, instead of several hours. Her go-to tug toy.
Forever in Our Hearts
Sadie, you will always be a part of our family. Thank you for teaching us to love deeply and live fully. Your spirit will forever inspire everything we do.
Love,
Your Dads <3
